adding to cws's post, anecdotally based on posts on FT, i think we get fewer of these non-ticketed issues then we did around 7-8 years ago when they seems more common.
if you have done a change which involves no payment, then these may be queued in a less urgent pile. personally i keep anything like this to the side once done so i can check on it every few weeks - yes i understand the argument that we shouldn't have to do that of course.
for changes which involve additional payment, the issue has always been that the cvv is taken on the phone but falls out after 5-6 days. so ticketing needs to be done within that timeframe
personally i haven't detected any difference in process recently. those that i call about and which are ticketed within a few minutes tend to be things like invol rebookings. anything that is more complicated and based on a non automatically generated fare/cost go to the back office and get ticketed around 1-3 days after.
