Don’t get me wrong - I’m absolutely sure I know nothing about how airlines work behind the scenes but is this really the way it is being run?! It feels like this shouldn’t be so difficult.
the sticking point is that the authorisation they obtain is only valid for a week after you give card details. So if they do not do it in a week they can't do it. And they do not remind you until 22 hours before your flight. At which point I was asleep.
