I actually managed to make a booking for July 2026, way back in Feb 2024. I often book well over a year in advance (which is possible at some properties on some rates), but I never book anything that can't be cancelled. I then have a computer automatically run rate searches a few times per day for those same dates, it logs the search results in a spreadsheet, and sends me an e-mail if the new price is lower than the price I had booked previously. The only thing I can predict about the Revenue Management team at some hotels, is that they're not predictable. Some reservations, I end up rebooking 6 or 7 times since the original booking, but many times, the rate I book 1 year out, remains the best.
