I have a 00:55 departure to DOH at CGK (on Qatar Airways). I'm trying to figure out how much time to allow when connecting from Bali (DPS). I believe Garuda operates in Terminal 3 at CGK for domestic flights in addition to their international flights. There are two Garuda flights in the evening, one arriving around 2100 and the other around 2200. Is it safe to book the later one or should I be cautious and book the earlier one?

Are any of the other carriers reliable, schedule-wise? There are a few other later flights on other airlines (1 each on Lion Air, Super Air, and Indonesia Air Asia) as potential alternatives.

Also I hear Indonesian airlines are very strict about their baggage allowances (20 Kg max?). How bad are excess bag fees?
(FWIW we have a two-bag allowance both in bound to Bali and also outbound from CGK. I will prefer to just carry one each but that may end up taking the weight over 20 Kg).
