This thread has made me check all my bookings!

I’m still waiting for a CV open jaw return to be ticketed and we have been waiting weeks.

Even called up several times, first time was told it was going to the back office (what is this place?!) and we should hear back within a few days.

Nothing for about a month, called up and they took details and then, again, sent it to the back office to apparently work out the cost in Avios extra (not sure why, I literally could have told them the number of Avios required for the flight).

Called back again (well, they called me) and took the payment details and the Avios and said it would be ticketed soon.

This was several days ago. Not yet ticketed, no fees have been taken from the card and the number of Avios taken is not correct. Not even close. They have returned the 85,000 for the First Class flight over (which is ticketed already) and then taken a random amount back which can’t be more than 40,000 from the household account.

On X was told that because the back office (I’m imagining a dark and dingy windowless room at this point) ticket based on departure date, and because we aren’t flying until February that it might take weeks more:


Don’t get me wrong - I’m absolutely sure I know nothing about how airlines work behind the scenes but is this really the way it is being run?! It feels like this shouldn’t be so difficult.
