Bogus Amex (USA) Late Fee (used AutoPay)
I had an auto-payment scheduled, and it processed on the day payment was due, with the funds taken from my Chase checking account the same day. One day later, AMEX hits me with a $29 late fee. I contacted AMEX by chat and agent said they've been getting complaints all day, that it's a "back end" error which AMEX is working to resolve. Said I would get a statement credit in the amount of the late fee. No apology, no cs gestures, no nothing. Suffice it to say I'm extremely pissed. Anyone else hit with same?
