Does row 1 have the same "cubicle" as further rows or does it have the tv screen plastered onto the wall in front for instance?

I'll take your word for it but I've never encountered this before.
IMO the so-called "window" seats that have you inches from the aisle but the maximum distance from the window just seem strange to be honest.
Just to understand this layout better, if you were travelling alone and wanted a window seat you would ALWAYS choose an even-numbered row, right?
