Most people would prefer an ECV to miles. But if you're unlikely to travel in a year, that wouldn't indicate to Delta you are a particularly high value customer.

I'm not sure what you mean as to your "options." You don't say what your complaint was about (I see you had complaints about a baggage issue in February) but there's no right to have your complaint responded to with an offer of miles.
