First:
cricketer , did that screen show your first and last name or just first name?
Second: United now has an entire division,
Kinective Media, selling ads on its various channels that advertisers can target based on data United has about you, such as how you engage with its site, app and e-mails. Also worth noting that the
"Insights" page on that site listing those criteria doesn't mention anything about AVOD use, while
United's privacy policy excludes "images and biometric information" from the data that it can share with advertisers.
(I know, I know, privacy protections in federal U.S. law are thin. But doing something you specifically said you wouldn't do remains an excellent way to get the attention of the FTC and/or multiple state attorneys general.)
Third: I thought I'd read about B6 adding a name-recognition feature to its own new AVOD system, but I'd forgotten how long ago that was--as in,
sbm12 covered it just over four years ago.
