Advice from Stopover Experts Appreciated
Two passengers, J, US-flights, so 3 days of hotel each with single rooms. First-time visitors to Istanbul.

Arrive on a Thursday at 23:00 and Depart on following Tuesday at 15:00

Pax A has a side trip in Ankara on Saturday - Monday am. Thought is to check in on Thursday, depart on Tuesday with room vacant in the middle.

From the list of options below, which would be the best to accommodate these goals:
  • A good/safe location for Pax B to enjoy the full 5 days when Pax A is in Ankara
  • Ease of extending the included 3 days to the full 5 by paying for 2 more. I believe I've read that some hotels have preferred rates for this, but the details are blurred, so before I select, If one has a good rep for this process, it is a bonus.
Both Hilton Diamonds, Pax A Marriott Plat, B Gold in case that is a factor.

Any other advice or thoughts are appreciated.
