Well, as I am scrolling through these flights over the last couple of weeks, I am noticing that these flights are pretty consistently late. And even the ones that are supposedly "on time," the Taxiing time has varied from normalish to crazy. One flight out of Nashville had a 48 minute taxi time. One inbound flight taxied for over an hour!
Suddenly my 2 hour layover is feeling like a tight squeeze. I was originally thinking.....will I have time for United Club? Will I have time to get a bite to eat? Will, I have time to change clothes? After all, it is a long flight. Now, it's.....will I make my flight?
Here is the good news. The BNA-SFO portion, the departure time is a bit earlier than it has been. And the SFO-SYD flight has been pushed back a bit as well. So....I have gained *some* time. But, not a ton. These flights are both on the same ticket....not two separate flights......so I shouldn't have to worry about the luggage.
Since it's the same ticket, will they wait for me (and other passengers
on that flight)? Am I freaking out about nothing? Do I need to have a Plan B?
Whenever these questions arise, I ask “what is your threshold if you miss the flight?!
Must you arrive in Australia on that date?
Are you on an upgrade that you will loose?
Do you have a specific seat assignment that is importantly to you?
Will an extra day in SFO be an adventure or a burden?
