^This. I haven’t had to do this but several of my sisters have. You’d think that over time, with improvements in technology this would have become an easier process but the opposite appears true. “Valid government ID” is now required for so many different kinds of activities, and changing one piece of identification often sets off a time-consuming chain reaction no matter when you do it.
