I think Amex (and probably most of the major banks) has a separate setup for corporate charge cards and the like - finding someone to personally sign for a $1bn credit limit for a multinational corporation would be a bit much (it would also create a weird failure point for the company), and the needs/utility of those organizations on (say) the airline mileage front are different as well.
Yeah, makes sense. I asked originally since I was thinking it was a pretty good deal if you were a mid-sized corp and wanted to give all of your traveling consultants SC access for $175 a head, but imagined there was some complexity in there. Or maybe Delta will just sell you 100 memberships for $17.5k, who knows.
