This was a fun and interesting stay, and I’m glad I spent a night in this grand property. Now, from an overall benefits perspective, is it the best deal in town? No. However, it’s interesting - here are my impressions and photos:

Pros:

• Bed is very comfortable - plush yet supportive mattress, very plush pillows, very plush covers
• Shower pressure is generally good
• Grand architecture inside and out
• Service was friendly
• Offered late checkout proactively
• I booked a breakfast-inclusive rate - breakfast was great - friendly service - great smoked salmon omelet - great manakish - good Nespresso coffees - good pancake - great strawberry smoothie

Neutral:

• Not a big fan of the shower tub combination

Cons:

• I was “upgraded” to a fountain view - I had seen executive suites listed online before arrival - but my attempt to ask for a suite at check-in failed
