I've started to put all my non-travel/dining spend on cash back cards. For example you can do well on Bank of America cards + preferred rewards and get ~2.5-5% cash back on all spend. It's a pain to setup though. The value of airline and hotel points have declined so much the last few years, I don't want to be fully exposed to travel points on all my credit card rewards.
Misc travel/dining still on Chase Sapphire (rotate between preferred & reserve based on my need) as the category bonus is still good, transfer partners are ok, and the travel insurance has been very useful.
I've kept my AA Citi Exec for lounge access, the LP bonus, and simple AA itineraries - but I've still been on the old annual fee. When my renewal comes up I will probably close it.
So then I'm considering one of AMEX/Chase/C1 for lounge access, but I do think they're better in theory than execution because of the limited airport footprint and the terminal locations of the lounge. So maybe I'll stick with the AA Citi. Still unsure. At least the AA lounges don't have lines...that's a serious deterrent for me for lounges. The last thing I'd want is the DL/AMEX lounge punchcard along with their lines.
