Seems like this discussion has been inactive for a while now but just wanted to add that in terms of the wheels, I have found that the TravelPro Platinum Elite series has the best spinner wheels - they glide on pretty much any carpet surface. I also have a Briggs & Riley Baseline Global spinner that has decent wheels but the TravelPro's wheels are much better than the B&R.
