I have a printed reason from the 1st train company which is "signal failure".
I wasn't thinking about drip delay insurance, but I realied that this is likely covered. I used some Marriott points to pay for the hotel at BBB. Do they somehow reimburse me for this? Any advice on how to claim?
Thanks!
trains, like planes, should be covered as a ‘common carrier’. However, trip delay is typically new expenses, such as food during a covered delay, or new hotel room while delayed during the connection.
they used to reimburse points (when coverage applies) - but I can’t remember if it is Chase UR only or third-party as well. Back in the day it used to be 1.5 cents/point (for CSR), but I feel like I saw 1 cent in the more recent iteration of the terms. What card did you use for the travel?
