1100 miles is still quite long for most flights which will still lack options beyond a combination of tequila, OASIS=>KODIAK, and no IFE
pmAA thresholds were a mixed bag, but generally, you'd see a snack/meal on 600+ mile flights. There were some carveouts for competitive reasons. All that changed on 9/1/2014.
The minimum currently is 900 miles to receive meal service, I believe, with no known competitive carveouts (used to have ORD-DCA and a handful of others prior to COVID though).
