There's literally one option on Friday that isn't unnecessarily long (i.e. depart SFO at 0700 to connect in EWR at 2000 vs just departing SFO at 1000 for the same connection), and it gets in too late for dinner. I don't really care about the lie-flat.
If we just look at UA in general (or "any airline", since none of the others have reasonable options), the flights that work for the arrival time all leave 2+ hours earlier than AC through YYZ or YUL.
AC has, by far, the best schedule. Which suggests they'd be preferred by way more people. Which explains why J is often 0.
