I've been thinking about this same thing. I'm ATL based, and right now I'm DL Gold, so I'm still doing Sky Miles. I'm really not much interested in status (that Gold was almost by accident), so I'm transitioning to prioritizing price/schedule. I used to get BA miles for my AA flights, but after their redemption re-scaling domestic trips were ridiculous, and I found out that AA regularly had 15K RT domestic redemptions. Same thing with UA--I was going to earn Air Canada because I got a good deal on an intra-Europe redemption, then found that UA often has these 15K domestic redemptions. (I tend to earn on transatlantic J, then redeem on domestic Y.)
As we know, Skypesos does NOT have those. At least, I've never seen one. Plus, it would be nice to be able to transfer using both Amex and Chase points. Can anybody relate experiences redeeming FB points for domestic flights? I totally agree with the above comment about placing expensive flights on the operating program, and cheap flights on the partner program, but in order to maximize my earning I guess I need to stick with one.
