I had a flight and was going to look for a thread about drinks, seats, and lazy flight attendants. Moved from front to back of coach to have isle with middle seat empty. Gate agent said 2 back rows blocked. This served as a play pen for the FAs to chat and do as little as possible. Need to make sure they are comfortable and dont give a chance for paying customers to spread out. Stayed there for first hour. Only after I looked back at them did they get off their candy crush and do a little service. The APFA is one of the most ignorant union killing organizations in the county. Passengers do notice things like this more than folks think. Talked to a lot of union hands in the trades and they said the dumb stuff that goes on with FAs reflects poorly on all of them. It is amazing what BA can do on a flight from LHR-BRU. I am pro working person but there has to be some sort of standards. The rank and file does not have the integrity to police its self. My union ( years ago ) would have cut off some balls if folks reflected poorly on it in public facing roles
