Yes. Before COVID I used to fly LGA-BOS a lot when AA flew mainline E190s on the route. Back then, they still did a beverage service in Y on the flight, but the vast majority of the time, the FAs were not able to serve the entire cabin and at the top of descent would just put the carts away without saying anything to the passengers who weren't served.
Interestingly, when the route was turned over to B6 under the NEA, who also flew E190s, they never failed to complete service on any of the flights I was on.
It wasn't always this way. Back in the US Airways Shuttle days, the FAs served full 727s and then A320s both drinks (including alcohol) and snacks (bagel and cream cheese on morning flights and a snack box on afternoon/evening flights). Unless turbulence was exceptionally bad, they always got the entire cabin served. These days are long gone, though.
