Having just found this thread I have thought "
that's very helpful to know" and "
I wish I knew that before I transferred my Amex miles". Sigh. My problems:
1. I have 4000 "Stranded" miles that I intended to top up my household account so I could afford a potential upgrade, now stranded individually
2. And the whole idea was to do an "at the airport upgrade", which it seems I can't as 99k of my 103k miles are all in my household account
I'm glad I was only short of 4000 miles, and they have 3 years to expire. But my learning is very complete! (not the worse program ever, but significantly problematic for a relative newbie like me who did earn those 100k miles on flying (with family) and thought that I may be able to use them... seems not!
