To answer the OP’s question re: wifi. If the aircraft hasn’t had the Westjet Wifi by Telus installed yet, it most likely still has the Westjet Connect onboard and Boingo doesn’t work anymore (not Westjet’s choice btw) so have to pay for Internet. The WestJet Wifi is pretty slick but I miss some of the Westjet Connect features like the Live Route Map etc. But one of the many things I like about Westjet Wifi is that if I have a connection I can see its status now whilst enroute, whereas I couldn’t before on Connect.
