I think there are two trends going on with Renaissance hotels.
1. Historic Renaissance hotels are being reflagged as Autograph Collection hotels. Owners tends to use this reflagging as an excuse to eliminate their lounges if they have one even though there is no rule that prohibits Autographs from having a lounge, as there are several Autograph Collection hotels in Asia that do have a lounge (but they tend to be larger with many more rooms).
2. Renaissance hotels located near convention centers being reflagged as a non-distinctive premium brand, such as Marriott or Westin.
