Maybe more diversification monetizing of the business fares, at the moment this is the situation:

Madame Dolores' crystal ball
.............................forseess "true light" as in true unbundling:
as by
McKinsey Consulting & Elliot activist investors
https://www.mckinsey.com & https://www.elliottmgmt.com

The crystal ball will show ,
* business "light" & * premium economy "light" & economy "light"
no seat selection
no lounge access
no check in luggage
no carry in
just 1 personal item the size on an A4
******
If you want more,
go on, just book business, premium economy, economy: standard or flex
( Marjan Rintel: phew, we're all in the clear reaching our extra revenue target)
or we reward our FB platinum or ultimate frequent flyers
(Ben Lipsey: Flying Blue brings value to you, i kept my promise, we are happy with our plats&ultis)
or get a creditcard, how easy is to get one so you enjoy free check in allowance
(AF/KLM+FlyingBlue+Delta : that feels so good getting passengers hooked on creditcards, just provide 1 suitcase free as creditcard benefit, the masses will sign up and we've tapped into the lucrative creditcard market, we must make more people dependent on our AF/KLM/DL creditcards

* remember the shrewd ploy < 2014 to get people to sign up for Flying Blue : als Ivory member you were guaranteed 1x 20kg check in for free , slu move to get started on datamining.
Spoiler

That was a blast from the past........
KLM: Europe's newest LCC [paying for baggage now also for Ivory]

With that logic in mind and now with the need to generate more revenue,

All these "light" fare passengers could be swayed to take creditcards, a lucrative lure of getting to check in a free bag, will be an appealing USP ... Just saying, with a focus on generating more revenue and closing the gap in budget, this could become the way forward for those booking business, premium and economy light fares. AI on website: "you booked a light fare, it offers no check in luggage, you can however get this with an easy creditcard sign up". (USA model)
