There's no wait list so apparently I have to keep calling. Any idea how this works and if is possible that AF will eventually allow the use of GUCs for the flight? Do they do it based on the # of open seats in business class (there are currently 21 open seats)?
I know there is a thread on using GUCs on AF, but I am lost in the acronyms and find much of the conversation over my head. But let me know if I should post this over there anyway. Thanks.

Expert flyer shows there are 2 with Z availability for your fight on the 8th as of this moment.. When you call them again, ask to confirm with the join venture desk.. They will quickly confirm and process them… Could change by the time you do end up calling but as of now they are there..
On your return, the new cabins are the best in AF fleet and you will get that on the A350 for that route… Try for first row or row 10 window seats if you want the larger footwell. Sometimes you can reserve them before online check in even if you don’t have status.. Makes sleeping very comfortable..
Enjoy your trip. Thats a good time to go there.
