Thanks.
We have not had experience traveling in the Schengen zone before. Our car service (at age 83, I prefer it to taxis) suggests hotel pickups 2.5 hours before flight times. I am concerned that, with traffic and all, it will be tight. Flying SAS Plus Pro, we have lounge access, and I'd rather relax in a lounge than run for the gate.
In some international airports, walking at a brisk (for me) pace from baggage check to the gate has taken over 30 minutes. Hopefully, that is not true of CPH, BER, OSL, or ARN.
I understand there are fast ways to navigate some of these airports, and that type of ticket we have gives us access. Are they well-marked in English?
I am more concerned about arrival at the airports than departures. If it takes a little extra time to get to our hotel, who cares. If we run late and miss our flight, that's another matter.
I wasn't sure whether the rules relating to U.S. passports vs passports from Schengen zone countries would be different and slow us down. From what you've said, the answer seems to be no.
Again thanks.
