Now a buddy of mine who works in the airline catering business says that the Caribbean airline catering is extremely expensive compared to many other places, but it is not like DL can't get catering, it may just be an issue of that they are unwilling to pay.
There's only a single daily flight most times of the year on this route. For FC routes, very few, if any, stations that only have one daily eligible flight have catering contracts. This includes domestic stations such as MCI, MKE, OMA, and PWM among others. There are also some stations with multiple daily eligible flights that don't have catering contracts such as ABQ, ELP, and PVD.
