I read somewhere there was an issue getting the WiFi antenna certified on the 787 (this has nothing to do with delivery delays, but just explaining one limitation in putting the 78 on longer flights). In contrast, the A330 has free Starlink, so that is one aspect where the A330 product is superior. I expect it will be rectified, but not sure of the timeline.
