Value is always in the eye of the beholder, but although OTP security invariably looks chaotic, at any time of day I've never known it not to move quickly - you just have to know the system and to understand that trays may not be placed in the most logical places for good flow!

The centre security section with new scanners also looks close to completion, which will mean a shorter walk to the passport gates. Notwithstanding that the standard lounges are pretty much the worst in Europe, I'd personally take a lot of persuading £105 to save a couple of minutes and get a better sandwich is worth it. BA typically offer Y to J POUGs for £110 on the route - IMO, a much better use of money.
