When I checked with Google Maps for an evening arrival, it didn't give me good options from Lingotto train station. Also, with a big checked luggage + a cabin bag in tow, I don't really like buses or multiple connections.
And yes, I have to use the Torino-Genova train line

Maybe one day I'll try, when I don't have too much luggage with me.
