Apparently the change is more global.

Before it was:

Most Properties:
Best Available Room (BAR) including Suites for Plats
Ritz: BAR including Suites for Titaniums

In practice, I never got a suite upgrade as a Titanium at Ritz anyway (Europe and N. America).

Now it is:
Upgrade Subject to Availability (USA) including Suites for Plats at all Properties including Ritz.

So the devaluation for all elites from SPG is right there. The devaluation for Titaniums is especially raw (this was one of very very few differentiators) but in practice it means little as Titaniums weren’t getting this regularly anyway.

All in all, a very shady week from Bonvoy. While Titaniums had some elevated priority at Ritz, they no longer do. And Plats and up lose the benefit of saying “how could you still sell this room without giving it to me?” to a poor front desk person.
