This morning was miserable for sightseeing as there was moderate rain and high humidity thus morning so even with a rain jacket and umbrella you were getting were getting wet and was a shame as you are outdoors a lot of of the time in nara park.
I went to the nara national museum which had a special exhibition

Special exhibition. Photos not allowed in the exhibition rooms but in the main museum they were mostly allowed apart from a few objects
the exhibits were impressive and so were the crowds ( almost at kiyomizudera crowd levels which made looking at some exhibits difficult

Deer outside the national museum in the rain

Despite the rain I enjoyed walking around nara park as it is huge and beautiful.
Rain was easing off towards lunch time but it did look like it could have restarted at any time.
went to isuien garden which is beautiful

Isuien garden and was very quiet

Walked around the outside of todaijj temple (very busy) but did not go in.

Nara deer outside todaiji temple

Bought a couple of packets of deer crackers during tge day(y200 ) and fed the deer.some of them followed you for a short distance even after you stopped feeding them, some would not approach you even if you offered them a cracker and a few were more agressive but most of them were being on their own.

Whilst todaiji temple was very busy the temples uo tge hills were impressive and a lot quieter

More deer by temple buildings up the hill from todaiji temple

Nara tourist information office building outside jr nara station(with luggage storage and a starbucks)
