It's worth bearing in mind the title of the thread is "Global Airlines - a competition for BA?", and the discussion is framed by this. Many of the "negative" comments relate to a recognition that there is huge gulf between operating a few (heavily loss-making) media-hyped demonstration charters, and being in a position to operate a credible, reliable and sustainable airline. On the evidence so far, there is no comparison between Virgin and Global.
