I don't really get how this is intended to prevent the purchase of a nonrefundable ticket to get into the lounge as long as the person cancels before the flight as they have still been able to get into the lounge and still retained the ticket value.
All AS would have to do is monitor lounge access. Cancel your ticket after using the lounge? Strike one. Do it two more times? Strike 3, you’re out, and AS closes your MP Account.
