In-seat USB ports

I'm flying Turkish Airlines for the first time next month. Economy in an A330 for the long haul.

From what I gather, the seats feature a USB-A port. I am curious what the experience is for these: are they often broken or are planes relatively well-cared-for?

Also: does anybody have any idea what kind of current these ports will charge at? Is it the bare minimum 500mA or will it charge things a bit faster?
