I need a clarification on best rate guarantee ...if comparison site requires prepayment but rate is free cancellation up to 7 days prior to check in and marriott rate requires no prepayment and free cancellation 3 days prior to check in would this rate be acceptable?

Yes, flexible vs flexible should work as long as not within 7 days of the stay. They used to be fussy about prepayment for a short period but seems they don’t consider this now,
