There was a big difference in points for the more central "downtown" locations, but I would agree that this location is less than ideal aside from a 3 block walk to the transit line. Our SNA upgrades were denied but they at least moved us into a king bed room instead of 2 doubles when I reached out via chat. The room was tiny, but quiet and comfortable.
The Elite lounge has a nice little spread of food in the evening, nothing really appealing to our toddler, but we were also able to grab a few liters of German beer which was worth it. We also were able to get 2 non-alcoholic drinks daily from their market, which you fill out a slip and drop it off with the front desk.
Room service was actually really great for our first night as we were dead tired to go out - the filet with the gnocchi was probably the best room service meal I've ever had, and they don't nickel and dime you with fees and surcharges. Breakfast was fairly solid for the offering, but if you were there during peak hours it could end up being a bit of a mad house. We tried the Champions bar for a late dinner one night and was very much unimpressed, so we wouldn't recommend it. Minor annoyance as they charged us for breakfast the last morning of our stay and we had to sort it out via chat after check-out. This always seems like this "mistake" happens on the last day and hoping folks don't catch it, but that could just be me.
So there is an elite lounge at this hotel now?
