I've been gone 2+ years - I don't think the discount option will disappear unless they make everyone revalidate via an employer email. For me that would not be a big deal as I have a new email with another company that is part of the program.
My discount has always been 10% or so - is there some variation among businesses? That would seem like a nightmare to administer.
