Passport office (Docklands) opens at 8am - but regardless of the appointment time, you still need to queue a bit (based on me renewing last October) so I'd get there 10-15 minutes early to be first in.

Thanks for this, that’s helpful. The old pp was cut up by the office this morning and then they said the system went down!
If we could get the passport by 8.15am, could we make the 9.15 departure?! Well that’s the wishful thinking.
