Very annoying follow-up
So the customer service person's idea of giving me a refund for the congestion charge was actually to just delete the toll package for my receipt which was a $25.99 credit. And of course I was happy for that as I seemed to be coming out ahead compared to the $10.95 congestion charge.
But apparently that had a consequence of notifying the etole vendor that my package no longer applied to my rental and they just charged me another $37 for other tolls from that day.
All in all I ended up behind about $14.
I'm asking the guy. Can you please just give me a refund of $14 towards this rental and he says well no. I have to submit a request and see if someone will approve it after they review it. For $14? FFS
Then after the end of the call which took 45 minutes, I asked him, can you throw me a coupon or something for all this time that I've wasted with this and he said let me see what coupons I have. I can give you a $20 coupon but then they are going to cancel your refund request and you're not getting the $14 back.
