I have changed my multi carrier award ticket 4 times becuase of business availability. Some time they charged 50 and some time they charged 120 . Sometime they cancelled the whole ticket and issued a new ticket . And they never tell you what they charged because payment link comes later and that doesn’t show any details .
Did the carriers change, including going to less carriers? If that's the case (even if you go from CX+LH to just CX for example), it's 120 in my experience and there needs still be "fresh" space. It's technically a cancel and rebook and if there isn't "fresh" space and you cancel and the space doesn't go back into inventory, you're out of luck.
