Hello, apologies for my ignorance but I’ve just moved from another alliance and I’m still learning how FB works.

On a couple of European trips I have upgraded my economy seat to business and on neither occasion have I received additional miles or XP.

This was by selecting a seat in European business with an extra charge at online check in.

I rang the Platinum service line (excellent by the way) and they have added the miles for the upgrades but indicated that I only get XP economy class; business class XP are only awarded if the ticket is reissued in business.

I’m sure that’s correct but wanted to double check with the FT community. With my previously preferred alliance you got tier points for upgrades.
