There is nothing stopping you from turning off the screen and using your own content. That's the benefit of having options.
There's a reason that the yield premium leaders in the US, DL and UA, have invested in screens and are investing in screens rapidly respectively. UA realized that the BYOD strategy wasn't working and reversed course.
