Ba has plenty of history to draw on at LGW. the only thing really "new" here is that covid gave them an excuse to completely split off LGW and set up a lower cost AOC with poorer contracts for flight and cabin crews than pre covid.
Although in the past year or so those contracts have revised somewhat to attract and retain crew. Cabin crew recruitment is no longer a pressing issue. As with mainline flight crew numbers and training remain a pressure point.
