Israel sent a delegation to Qatar yesterday to renew negotiations. I find it odd that the waiver hasn’t at least been updated. It makes me wonder if UA is holding off temporarily on officially removing the flights from the system to see how the next couple of days go? Perhaps they want to be well-positioned to quickly pivot if any form of cease-fire is announced. (I hope I’m not being delusional for multiple reasons.)

I’ve all but decided that if my flight departs, I’ll be on it (EWR chaos notwithstanding). If not, I will send my regrets to the bride and groom, with the hope of rescheduling my trip later in the year. I just need to cancel my hotel reservation by 5/19.
Very frustrating.
UA pushed back to mid June so I’ll be surprised if anything changes on that end. My flight outbound (to Israel) has a connection in ZRH and from there Swiss to Tlv. If LH group resumes, I’ll have a ride there, but since I’m suppose to fly UA Metal on the return, I’m wondering if they’ll try to rebook passengers on LH code share flights

I agree the flights will be canceled, I’m just curious if they’ll offer a code share alternative…
