What's the best way / website to check the intersection of places A3 flies to and AC flies to YVR from? I've been doing it manually with google flights and it's a pain. Would ITA matrix with some fancy routing codes work? Or is there something more convenient?
And how do you get the mileage info? That's also great to know.
I'm not sure why you'd limit yourself to those combinations, but you can certainly do that with ITA Matrix; the routing codes would be
o:a3+ o:ac+ from Europe and
o:ac+ o:a3+ back. If what you really want is Star Alliance, except United, try routing code
~o:ua+ and extension code
alliance star-alliance . Note that this won't exclude all US transfers; I don't see a way to do that. However, you can eliminate cities one at a time by changing your extension code thusly:
alliance star-alliance; -cities SEA SFO LAX DEN AUS DFW ORD NYC EWR BOS WAS etc. -- just keep adding to that list until you like the results you get.
You can get mileage for the routes you choose from ITA Matrix as well, or alternatively you can use
https://www.gcmap.com .
