Maybe from another hub but I'd give it about 0% chance of happening out of NYC when SQ operates 3x daily (2xJFK, 1xEWR), two of which are non-stop.

In the past, I've had success booking NYC-SIN-KUL on SQ for much less than a simple NYC-SIN r/t would have been, with a lengthy SIN stopover en route.
