The photos of the seats, taken at an angle, suggest a very thin seat back - which usually means a very hard and uncomfortable experience. There are so many great PY products out there - JAL has a new one, CI has one, JX has one, BR is upgrading theirs, etc. While the AC and SQ seats are very uncomfortable, they are long in the tooth and in need of an upgrade. This was UA's opportunity to leapfrog them.

If they would have put the old J Barcoloungers in there instead, honestly I would be thrilled and might have considered booking those seats to Asia.
